Submissions

The Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies welcomes unsolicited articles, comments, and notes addressing legal issues that evolve out of globalization. IJGLS is not a journal of international or comparative law generally, but rather has a much narrower focus on globalization and the law. The distinction is often elusive and inevitably subjective. We seek articles that specifically engage in a substantial discussion of globalization and the legal issues that are an outgrowth of globalization. Since globalization is itself an elusive concept with many valid definitions, we encourage authors of all perspectives to submit articles for consideration.

Technical Specifications:

Detailed citations should be included in footnotes rather than endnotes or internal/parenthetical citations. Footnotes should be comply with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. Please include page numbers in citations when possible. The Journal prefers submissions in Microsoft Word format.

Submission Procedure:

IJGLS prefers submissions sent in an attachment via email to ijglssub@indiana.edu. Please include your name and the title of your article in the subject line of the email. We are able to consider submissions sent via postal service if sent as an electronic version on disk in the format specified above. We are not able to consider submissions sent in hard copy only. Since we communicate with authors primarily via email, please include your email address with your electronic submission (if not submitting via email). Submissions sent to the Journal by mail cannot be sent back to authors.

Submissions must include an electronic copy of the curriculum vitae or resume of all authors of the submitted article before we may begin the review process.

Our review process typically requires approximately three weeks to complete once all required material has been electronically submitted. You may expect to receive acknowledgement of receipt via email from the Submissions Editor shortly after you have submitted your article.

Submissions are accepted year round.
